Pretty good week here in the Stockhizzle! Lots of good stuff going on! Teaching some cool people and grinding on the streets when needs be. ) But yeah, let's start with some classic highlights! This week we did the musical again which as always, is fun. My district leader gave me a chess board! (I'm being intellectual and learning how to play.) We cleaned out an apartment that the mission has to sell #nasty but it was fun! Mom you would be so proud of me the senior couples were impressed how good a cleaner I was. :) We had some member meals, had institute, helped someone move, again. Haha and we had the primary program in church yesterday!
Sooooo, lets start of with a funny story to get y'all reeled in. :) You all know my love for rugby. So granted, I always have a ball with me. On Thursday, we had a bit of time at the end of the night so I grabbed it out and tossed it to my comp. Elder Nelson and he tossed it back, so I decided to show off a little bit and give him some heat and hit him right in the chest. He tried to do the same and launched it and completely missed me and crashed straight into the window sending shards of glass in every which direction. Long story short, we got it all fixed now it looks as good as new. :) Kids, listen to your mom and don't throw balls in the house!!
Way to go Elder Nelson... |
We had a cool story with an investigator this week. So we found and have been teaching a Swedish guy, named Nils and it has gone well so far! In our last lesson we finished teaching the Restoration and gave him a Book of Mormon, and we asked him to read a specific chapter from it. Then yesterday on the train, the sisters from our area saw him on the train and talked to him. And what he told them is the cool part! He said that he had read more than 10 chapters from the Book of Mormon already, and he still sounds super positive and wants to meet again to talk about what he has read. :)
As a spiritual thought for this week, I thought about the primary program not only how adorable it was, but the knowledge/ testimony these kids have! They are so awesome. Like Christ said multiple time during his earthly ministry, become as the little children. As we humble ourselves as children Christ will be able to save us. :) So, this week think about how you can humble yourself and become closer to Christ through that. :)
Thanks again for all the love and prayers and support y'all are seriously the best. :) I hope you have a good week and don't forget to keep the faith!
Love,

Proud Mom moment!
Dear Sister Baggett,
Last Friday your son helped clean an apartment to facilitate a move for a couple of other elders in his district. He volunteered for the toughest job—cleaning the kitchen. I worked in the kitchen as well, but he took the stove which needed the most work, and he poured himself into it. He took that stove and oven apart, including the exhaust fan and cleaned every millimetre of it! I’ve never seen a young man work so thoroughly and so joyfully. You have taught him well! I just wanted you to know that we appreciate his upbringing, his example and his dedication to all aspects of the work.
Sincerely,
Syster Hales
