Week 92 - Happy October!

Hej everyone!
Hope things are going well back at home! Things are going really well here. :) as always! Pretty normal week here. Lots of some normal stuff but lots of cool things happening as well! This week, we did some family history and learned how to get people started. We're excited to start using that as a finding method! People in Sweden love their family history! We had dinner at a members house. His name is Benjamin and he is from Iraq. He made us a 2.5 kilo (thats like over 5 pounds people) and we ate the whole thing between the three of us. Haha it was good stuff. I will send a video of us eating it. :) he was showing us his Iraqi music, so I told him to let me see the phone and I showed him some real American country music. :) haha he laughed so hard. We had the regular stuff like district meeting, coordination meeting Yada Yada. We had FHE on Thursday and had a fire with hot dogs and s'mores! All the swedes thought it was too sugary, but their just wimps. Hahah I will send pictures from that as well!! 😊 We had interviews with President which is always a highlight! He is so great. We had a few member meals, I told you about one. One of the others, we get there and we start eating, and she says, guess what we're eating! Threw out a few guesses, then in English, she says "MOOSE." she was so excited. Hahah super good too. :) I love Swedish food man.

Pretty cool story from when we were out knocking doors Saturday morning. We had knocked probably 20 houses or so to no prevail. Not home, no answer, some cranky people. Also met some nice people. But then, last door we knocked, and man answered and he was getting dressed in like work clothes. We started a friendly conversation and asked where he was going and he said to go work at the ski slope in town! I was like, no way!! We start talking skiing, come to find out he was a way good skier back in the day and he kids were like semi pro whatever. I told him, you know where I come from in America, we have "the best snow on earth" and he says, "I know! I've ben there!" he was there back in the 80s for skiing and he visited temple Square! The whole 9 yards. He wasn't super interested in having us back, but he took our number. So who knows what will happen in the future. :)

On Tuesday, while we are doing our family history, I could really feel the "spirit of Elijah" as talked about in D&C 2. When searching for our ancestors and taking their names to the temple for their work to be done we really can grow in our testimony of the Plan of Salvation and our Savior Jesus Christ. :) Do some Family History this week and try it out! You wont regret it. :)

This week is general conference!! We have the opportunity to listen to GOD'S PROPHET on the Earth today! How cool is that? Go with the attitude that you are going to learn something new and I can promise you that you will.

Well everyone, hope you have a wonderful week!  And you will hear from me in a short 7 days! Love y'all tons!

Love,
Charlie Baggett
