Week 70 - Tjena snubbar :)

Tjena snubbar. :) (Hey Dudes)
Hope you have all had a fantastic week! We sure have! The time just seems to be flying by! Stockholm is seriously the place! The weather is getting warmer, the sun is up and things are starting to turn green! :) Highlights from this weeeeek! We had some member meals and some awesome lessons! We had institute which was Elder and Sister Halls last one!! They have been so awesome and it has been way fun to get to know them. :) awesome lesson as well on the sacrament. We had exchanges with the Gubbängen elders, sports night, we set up chairs for Stake conference. I forgot how much fun that was!! Lololol then this weekend we had stake conference! It was so good! I was able to meet a lot of new people and see a lot of old faces. :) We also sang in the stake choir! Love it. :) Lots of stuff going on I tell ya. It's a blast!

We experienced a lot of miracles this week that really made us appreciate God's hand in our lives. One of them happened early on in the week on Tuesday when we went to teach our investigator David! He has 3 kids all of which are members that haven't been coming to church so often. We have been hoping and praying to teach his whole family but hasn't worked out in the past. When we came to teach, it was just David and his daughter Miriam. We began teaching for a bit, but then David's son Zaya comes into the apartment. He comes and says hey and what not, and we invite him to sit down for the lesson but he said that he was too hungry and needed to eat so he left the room and went to the kitchen. Well, not even two minutes later, Zaya comes walking back into the room and sits on the couch and listens to the rest of the lesson very intently. At the end of the lesson, Zaya asks to say a few words. He then began to tell us that when he had sit down to eat, he felt a really strong impression that he needed to go to the living room and listen to the missionaries. He wanted to eat, but the influence of the spirit was more powerful, so he followed the prompting and was so thankful that he came to listen to the listen. It was such a cool experience for us and for him as well! I love being able to see the influence of the spirit in the lives of others. :)

Sooo as a spiritual thought this week, I found a picture quote that I really love! I will attach that to this email.. :) sorry it's short, but I love it. :)

Hope you all have a great week and enjoy the good weather this week! Thanks for all the support. Love you all tons. :) As always Keep the Faith!

Love,
Elder Baggett

Week 69 - #GodBlessAmerica

Hey everyone!
Another really good week this week! A lot of things going on here in Stockholm. But first things first, IT IS GETTING WARMER HERE!!! This weekend it got up to 15 degrees! Pretty nice. :) as other highlights this week, we got a good amount of finding time. Got to talk to a lot of Americans! Even bought some goodies at the American store. :) We met with some of our amazing investigators, we had an interview with the mission president, we also tried to do a contacting game that failed. Hahah We did a compliment train type thing, but apparently people don't like compliments. Lol! We had a few member meals! And went on exchanges with the office elders! So yeah pretty busy week this week! :) but that's how we like it!

Cool news!! We found out yesterday that Elder Renlund of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles will be visiting Sweden! Which is pretty cool because he grew up here! :) he will be having a fireside with the Stockholm and Stockholm south stakes. So we are pretty excited about it! He also told President Youngberg that he wants to meet with the missionaries while he is here, so we will be having a special conference with him the day after the fireside! So that will be really cool. :)

This week, we were out on the streets contacting and we saw this group of college aged kids out with a bunch of traveling gear and American flags draped over them and their bags and such, so I walked up and said "are y'all Americans?!" And they were like heck yeah! But we're in a hurry we need to get to the train station. We are in a competition and we have no phone and no money and we need to get to Amsterdam! Super random, but we helped them and sent them on their way. Then like 5 minutes later we talked to this other American that loves baseball! He is the head guy over all baseball here in Sweden! So that was super cool. I was able to get my American fix. Man, I love that place. :) #GodBlessAmerica

As a spiritual thought, I thought to share a story from the Book of Mormon that I love. Elder Bednar talked about it in his conference talk. But it is the story of Pahoran! If you aren't familiar with the he story, it's in Alma 60-62. But I love how Pahoran, even though Moroni has some choice words to say to him and was criticizing him, he wasn't mad! He had the choice! Its our choice to be offended. So I want to invite you all to remember that this week. :) When you think to be mad, be glad!

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Love you all tonsssss! As always, KEEP THE FAITH!

Much love,
Elder Baggett

Week 68 - What's the difference between "Some and Any?"

Hey everyone!
How is is going? Hope you have all had a good spring break! This week we have been really busy meeting lots of people getting things done. Lets just get to the point here, highlights from this week! We went to the Natural History museum last P-day which was pretty cool! I bought a chess board from this cool guy named Danut. We finished up watching conference, Met with Nils! as well as Emilio and Agatha! There was also a FIRE like 5 minutes from our house. It was actually a pretty big deal. I have pics and vids! We met with a guy to teach him English! That was a lot harder than I though it would be. He asked, "What is the difference between some and any?" Like I know there is a difference, but it was really hard to explain it.. haha If any of you teachers have a good explanation, send it my way! We had Exchanges with the Zone Leaders which went well I gave my first baptismal interview which was really cool! We went on a short contacting exchanges with the office Elders as well so that was pretty fun! Had a few member meals, knocked a good amount of doors and swung by a good amount of people. Lots of things happened! haha Good week. :)

So, the Zone Leaders have been teaching this lady who was getting ready for baptism and because they are in my district, I had the opportunity to interview her for baptism! It was really cool, because in the D&C 20:37 it lists the requirements for baptism and one of them is to witness before the church that they have truly repented on their sins. and in this situation I was able to be that person that she was able to witness for that she was ready for baptism. :) It was a really cool experience! She is super awesome and amazing to see that miracles are still happening and people that didn't even know they were searching are finding the truth. :)

This morning, I was reading about Virtue. I found a scripture in 2 Peter 1:3-8. It is a little long, so I would invite you to look it up. :) But, he invites us to develop quite a few Christlike attributes. and when you read it, it seem like a lot of things to do! and it kind of is, but he isn't telling us that we need to be perfect at it right now, but we do need to work as hard as we can at it! But the Lord doesn't give us a commandment without a promise connected to it. In verse 8, it says, "For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." He promises us that if we develop these things, we will never be empty and always be fruitful! Follow the example of Christ and you will be blessed!

Love you all tonnnns! Hope you have a wonderful week! Keep the Faith and make somebody smile. :)

Love,
Elder Baggett

Week 67 - Happy Easter and Happy Conference!

Hey everyone!
Hope you have all had an amazing week! Because we sure have! Elder Steele are out here just going hard finding people to bring to Christ! Highlight form this week! First, CONFERENCE!! It was so amazing. A lot of big changes and some awesome talks as usual. :) and to go along with that, Easter! We went out contacting with the new missionaries which was a blast! I saw Elder Balls! Had a few lessons, also had a few cancel. Little low light, but we helped the sisters move out.. Had institute! Had a District meeting with the new district which is now a bro district!! We have 4 companionship of elders, so ya boy will be going on lots of exchanges this transfer! haha We had sports night, and did a fair bit of finding! Pretty exciting week, I know. :)

So yes, General Conference! Pretty crazy. First time being a part of a Solemn Assembly, that I remember, and it was so cool!  Also, the announcement of the Elders quorum and the home teaching! But other than that, the messages in general were so uplifting and I learned so, so much! If you didn't have the opportunity to watch conference, please do so! It is an amazing opportunity for us to listen to the Lord's voice though his servants, the Prophets. :)

As a spiritual thought, I thought to focus on what President Nelson had to say in the Priesthood session but I think it applies to all. At the end  he invited all of us to physically stand then invited us all to spiritually stand up and to be men of God! He also talked on the Sunday morning session and said that to keep from falling in this life we will need to know how to receive revelation for ourselves. But following the spirit and by being good examples to those around us, I feel like that is the best way to "Rise up and be men, and women, of God" Keep on the Covenant path and serve others! I know that as you do you will feel the spirit so much stronger in your life. :)

I love you all! and hope you have a superb week! Thanks for the prayers and the support they don't go unappreciated. :) as always, Keep the Faith!

Love,
Elder Baggett
